The Operating System
OS X 10.3, codenamed “Panther,” is an operating system released by Apple Inc. in October 2003. Building upon its predecessor, OS X 10.2 “Jaguar,” Panther introduced several notable features and improvements. These included enhancements to the Finder interface, such as the introduction of a customizable sidebar and the ability to search files using “Spotlight.” Panther also introduced “Exposé,” a feature that allowed users to quickly switch between open windows and applications. Additionally, OS X 10.3 offered improved support for digital media, including the inclusion of the iTunes Music Store and enhanced capabilities for managing photos with iPhoto.
