About
Stuckism International is an art movement founded in 1999 by British artists Billy Childish and Charles Thomson. It emerged as a response to what its founders perceived as the stagnation and elitism of the contemporary art world. Stuckism International advocates for a return to traditional painting techniques and figurative art, rejecting the conceptual and abstract tendencies prevalent in contemporary art. The movement emphasizes authenticity, sincerity, and craftsmanship in artistic expression.
